Supervised by: Activity Coordinator
Purpose of the Position
To provide personal one-on-one resident centered care and services to meet the individual needs of each resident. These services will be done in a residential setting to enhance the capacity of the residents to attain or maintain their highest level of independence, offering choice and control.
Essential Duties
Encourages and participates in meaningful activities, assists with organized programs and promotes spontaneous activities with residents.
Responds to resident requests and assist with caring out the request, if appropriate to do so.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Abide by Friendship Haven Standards of Personal Performance and Code of Ethics.
Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
Ability to self-initiate with minimal supervision.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills.

Minimum Requirements
Education: Level of education to communicate effectively.
Physical Demands
Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours.
Mental Demands
Subject to frequent interruptions.
May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, families and visitors.
