Dietary Department Leader
Friendship Haven, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Fort Dodge, Iowa, is seeking an experienced and motivated Dietary Department Leader to join our team!
We are looking for a self-driven, hands-on leader who is passionate about providing quality dining services and creating a positive experience for our residents. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a nursing home or senior living setting, strong leadership skills, and a desire to grow professionally.
What You’ll Do
Provide leadership and direction to the Dietary Department.
Oversee daily dietary operations while ensuring quality, safety, and exceptional service.
Lead, motivate, and support dietary team members.
Assist with staff scheduling, training, and development.
Promote teamwork and a positive work environment.
Help ensure meals and dining services meet the nutritional and personal needs of our residents.
Work collaboratively with nursing, administration, and other departments.
Monitor department practices and help maintain compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Identify opportunities for improvement and help implement positive changes within the department.
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a nursing home, senior living, or healthcare dining environment preferred.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
A motivated, self-directed individual who takes initiative.
A team player who enjoys working collaboratively with others.
Someone who is dependable, positive, and committed to providing excellent service.
A desire to learn, develop, and grow within the organization.
