Campus Support and Maintenance
Supervised by: Campus Services Supervisor
Purpose of the Position
To perform various maintenance tasks, as needed and requested, by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and carpentry.
Maintain a clean, neat and safe environment in working order in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations that govern Friendship Haven.
Participates in in-service training classes, meetings and committees, as required.
Maintains safe work practices and follows facility safety procedures.
Prioritizes and completes work assignments within reasonably agreed upon timeframes.
Actively participates and works to identify and improve quality and work outcomes individually and as part of a team.
Seeks to learn and utilize appropriate equipment and trends in technology.
Participate in the maintenance on-call schedule as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Knowledge of a resident centered model of service delivery Support the mission, vision and values of Friendship Haven.
· Abide by Friendship Haven Standards of Personal Performance and Code of Ethics.
· Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
· Proficiency in writing and communicating with other team members.
· Accountability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
· Ability to deliver excellent customer service and public relations. Ability to be tactful in resolving customer service concerns and situations.
· Ability to be flexible with scheduling and assignments.
Minimum Requirements
· Education: Level of education to communicate effectively.
· Valid Driver’s License.
· Working in aging related environments experience preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
· Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves during work hours.
· Willing to work beyond normal working hours, and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
· Should be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Mental Demands
· Subject to frequent interruptions.
· May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, families and visitors.
