Leadership Training
One of the many benefits to being a part of the Friendship Haven team is the opportunity to further your leadership knowledge and experience no matter your job position. Everyone can be a leader at Friendship Haven. Most of this training comes from the Friendship Haven Experience, Journey, and Academy, all of which are multi-day courses guided by our head coach, Julie Thorson. These leadership courses allow team members to learn more about themselves and their teammates across campus. These courses build off of one another and give our team members the tools they need to better lead their teams whether it be at work or at home. The best part is, this training is offered by Julie off-campus for other organizations or companies. Interested in immersing your team into a new way of thinking about leadership? LeadingAge National Leadership Academy
Friendship Haven often tries to encourage leaders from our campus to participate in the Leadership Academy hosted through the National LeadingAge organization. This past year, our Chief Operations & Financial Officer, Kalleen Engels, graduated from the Academy and had the opportunity to present at the National LeadingAge Expo in Denver, Colorado. Kalleen was able to learn new leadership skills and learn more about becoming a better leader with members from other senior living and senior care communities from across the country. For the 2023 year, Friendship Haven is excited to announce that our Administrator, Erin Hoversten-Majewski, will be attending the National Leadership Academy with LeadingAge. She will have the opportunity to present at the Expo in fall of 2023.
