Household Coordinator- Arbor Lane

Purpose of the Position

The household coordinator will be responsible for the household operating smoothly, promoting rich programming to enhance the residents’ wellbeing and ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. The household coordinator will collaborate with the clinical coordinator, residents and employees to determine what support services the neighborhood needs to live with faith, passion and purpose.  The household coordinator will spend a portion of their time as a leader in the household and another portion of their time in a primary profession.

Household Leadership Functions

  • Provide leadership and vision to the household by modeling professionalism, customer service, collaboration, flexibility and acts as a coach to keep processes resident centered.
  • Supervise employees in the household, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies & procedures.
  • Contributes to and consults on household personnel management: hiring, training and management
  • Works cooperatively and respectfully with residents, co-workers, families, visitors and volunteers to create a warm and positive environment in the home
  • Achieve the financial objectives of the community by contributing to and accounting for the annual budgets
  • Build relationships with residents, families and guests and plays a key role in managing resident and family complaints
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable functional environment by assessing the household for sanitation and potential hazards, implementing  practices utilizing disaster preparedness and emergent care, investigating and reporting all incidents and accidents, observing the team for safe work habits and addressing observations
  • Facilitates household’s ability to plan and carry out personal interests and social activities for residents and the household.
  • Encourages a climate of continued learning and personal growth for all.
  • Facilitates each household’s ability to plan and meet the psychosocial needs of residents and the household.
  • Ensure household meetings (resident, employee and neighborhood) are taking place appropriately, engaging all residents and employees.
  • Attends or assuring the household is represented on all appropriates councils and teams of the community
  • Encourages extended family participation
  • Notifies and coordinates with appropriate parties when “transition” or deep cleaning is needed
  • Facilitate “care reviews” for caregiver staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: Level of education to communicate, supervise and lead effectively.
  • Licensure: Must be willing to obtain CNA certification, and willingness to learn social service, MDS, Activities, environmental services, food service and all other support services functions.
  • Experience: Must demonstrate leadership qualities and initiative in primary job function

Assistant Director of IT

Purpose of the Position:

Is responsible for assisting the Network Administrator with all aspects of network administration including, servers, desktop systems, laptops, communications hardware/software and office systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Install new software on laptops and desktops, as required.
  • Deploy new computer systems using disk imaging based software.
  • Install and troubleshoot network printers.
  • Support end users with hardware and software issues until resolved.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware related issues and network connectivity issues.
  • Run routine backups on computer systems to prevent data loss.
  • Assist residents with computer issues, as needed.
  • On-call rotation for weekend coverage for one weekend a month.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Associated Degree in Information Technology or related field.  
  • Experience: Knowledge of the following is preferred- Windows 7 & 10, Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2013, Windows Server 2008/2012 R2, Exchange Server 2010, Symantec End Point Protection, Cisco routers and switches, network printers, digital and analog phone systems.

Located in Fort Dodge, Iowa, Friendship Haven is committed to resident centered care. The company recently completed a 38 million dollar building project to transform the campus and reposition it for the future. The successful candidate will join a team that is innovative and responsive who pride themselves on excellence.

We are seeking a motivated leader to join our Human Resource Team taking the lead in Payroll and Benefits. The successful candidate will complete in-house bi-weekly payroll for 300+ employees along with filing quarterly federal and state taxes, completing annual W-2, 1094 & 1095, complete annual wage and benefit surveys, schedule annual benefit enrollment and assist with backup HR functions. This position will also work to comply with required reporting to meet government requirements.
